The Kidde Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector, model 900-CUDR, is a combination alarm powered by AA batteries that detects smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide gas. Equipped with self-testing components, this alarm operates on two AA batteries (included) to provide protection during power outages.

The alarm utilizes photoelectric sensing technology to detect visible fire particles from smoldering fires, while an electrochemical sensor detects carbon monoxide. When smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide is detected, an 85-decibel alarm sounds and red LEDs flash to warn of the event. Three LED warning lights indicate the alarm status: green for normal operation, amber for operating errors, and red for smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide events.

When the alarm reaches the end of its life span, it will announce, "Replace Alarm!". The Smart-Hush button can silence the alarm for approximately 8 minutes, which is useful for situations like routine cooking or shower steam triggering the alarm.

It is recommended to install a carbon monoxide and smoke detector on every level of your home and near bedrooms to ensure your family's safety. This detector is UL Certified and comes with a 10-year limited manufacturer's warranty.
