Operating on your home's 120V AC power wiring, with 2-AA batteries for backup power during outages, this alarm is equipped with self-testing components to ensure it's always working properly.

Utilizing photoelectric sensing technology for visible fire particles and an electrochemical sensor for carbon monoxide detection, the Kidde alarm will sound an 85-decibel alarm and flash red LEDs in the event of smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide. Three LED lights indicate the alarm's status: green for normal operation, amber for errors, and red for emergencies.

The Smart-Hush button can silence the alarm for 8 minutes, helpful for false alarms during cooking or steam. It is recommended to install these alarms on every level of your home and near bedrooms for maximum safety. The alarm is UL Certified with a 10-year limited warranty and meets various safety standards.
