Real-time notifications are available through the Kidde app, allowing you and your family to monitor air quality and receive alerts for smoke, carbon monoxide, high humidity, extreme temperatures, and Total Volatile Organic Compounds (TVOCs). Setting up the alarm is simple: just download the Kidde app and scan the QR code on the back of the unit.
You can also use voice commands to check the status of the alarm by connecting it to Amazon Alexa, Google Home, or select iPhone and Android devices. The LED ring-light indicator on the detector shows the operational status: red for smoke or hazard, amber for an operating error, and green for normal operation. The Test-Hush button allows you to silence temporary alarms, test the unit's functionality, and address low battery alerts.
For maximum safety, it is recommended to install a smoke and carbon monoxide detector on each level of your home and inside and outside each bedroom. The Kidde detector is compatible with other Kidde alarms for whole-home activation, ensuring that when one alarm sounds, they all do.
