Kidde Smart Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Alarm with Voice Alert

The Kidde Intelligent Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector, Model 900-0216, is a Battery Powered Interconnect Combination Smoke & CO Alarm with Voice Alert. It operates on 2-AA alkaline batteries to provide protection during a power failure. This smart alarm utilizes both ionization and electrochemical sensor technologies to detect smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide. When smoke is detected, the alarm will sound with 3 beeps and announce "Fire", while carbon monoxide detection will trigger 4 fast beeps and the message "Warning carbon monoxide". A red LED light will flash in sync with the voice alert for fire, carbon monoxide, or low battery. The Smart Hush feature can silence the fire alarm for approximately 8 minutes, and a green LED will flash twice per second.

With a UL Certification and a 10-year limited warranty, this alarm meets the requirements of UL 2034, UL217, NFPA72, The State of California Fire Marshall, NFPA 101, FHA, and HUD. The Kidde KN-COSM-XTR-BA intelligent alarm offers maximum protection by combining fire, smoke, and carbon monoxide alarms in one device. It provides voice warnings for different dangers, announcing either "Fire! Fire!" or "Warning! Carbon Monoxide!" This alarm responds quickly to real fires, including both smoldering and fast-flaming, and also detects carbon monoxide. The unit's ionization smoke sensor is designed to detect smaller, less visible fire particles, while the electrochemical sensor is used to detect CO.

In the event of a hazard, the sensors communicate with each other to adjust the alarm's sensitivity. If a fire is detected, the alarm will flash a red LED light, emit three long beeps, and voice the warning "Fire! Fire!". If carbon monoxide is detected, four short alarm beeps will sound, followed by a voice alert of "Warning! Carbon monoxide!". Additional features include a low-battery warning, a hush feature to silence nuisance alarms, a test/reset button, and peak CO level memory. The alarm is powered by two AA batteries and comes with a ten-year limited warranty.
