Powered by a 10-year lithium battery, the Kidde combination alarm does not require battery replacement and continues to function during power outages.

If there is a false alarm, the Smart-Hush button can silence the unit for about 8 minutes, which is useful for situations like routine cooking or shower steam setting off the alarm. The green LED on the alarm flashes every minute in standby mode to indicate that the unit is powered and working correctly. It is recommended to install a carbon monoxide smoke detector combo on every floor of your house and near bedrooms to ensure the safety of your family.
