Kidde Wireless Smoke Detector with 10-Year Battery Backup and Voice Alerts

Photoelectric sensor technology detects visible fire particles related to smoldering fires, while an electrochemical sensor detects carbon monoxide. The smoke alarm operates on a 120V wired power source with a 10-year sealed lithium battery backup.

When a hazard is detected, a voice alarm and an 85-decibel alarm announce the alert: "Fire!" for smoke or fire, "Warning! Carbon Monoxide!" for carbon monoxide, or "Replace Alarm" when the alarm has reached its end-of-life span. This allows for easy extension of coverage and protection without the need for additional wiring.

The ambient light sensing feature establishes a day/night cycle and prevents late-night battery chirps in dark conditions. LED warning light indicators provide information on various statuses: a green light indicates proper operation, an amber light indicates an error, and a red light signals smoke or fire.

The interconnection capability allows for the connection of up to 24 Kidde smoke, heat, or CO alarms, with the potential to interconnect 6 strobe lights or relay modules. The alarm is UL listed with a 10-year limited manufacturer warranty on the alarm only (battery performance claims are not included). The warranty begins when the alarm is powered on, and if the date of installation is unknown, it is recommended to replace the alarm.
