The Kidde Smoke & Carbon Monoxide Detector, model 900-CUDR, is an alarm combo that uses a single alarm to detect smoke, fire, and carbon monoxide gas. It operates on two AA batteries (included) to ensure protection during power failures. Equipped with self-testing components, the detector is always checking to ensure it is working properly. The photoelectric sensing technology detects visible fire particles, while the electrochemical sensor detects carbon monoxide.

When a smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide event occurs, the Kidde alarm emits an 85-decibel sound and flashing red LEDs. Three LED warning lights indicate the alarm status: green for proper operation, amber for faulty operation or connection, and red for smoke, fire, or carbon monoxide. When the smoke alarm reaches the end of its life span, it will alert with a "Replace Alarm!" message. The Smart-Hush button can silence the unit for approximately 8 minutes, useful for situations like routine cooking or shower steam. It is recommended to install a carbon monoxide smoke detector combo on every level of your home and near bedrooms for optimal safety.
